"Shibori is a Japanese manual resist dyeing technique, which produces patterns on fabric. There is an infinite number of ways one can bind, stitch, fold, twist, or compress cloth for shibori, and each way results in very different patterns. Each method is used to achieve a certain result, but each method is also used to work in harmony with the type of cloth used".
There are not two equal Shibori fabric, each the pattern is unique due to the artisan technique to dye with indigo. Fabric color could eventually fade after multiple washes. Handmade in the USA. Color may vary depending on the monitor used.

Small imperfections that happen when a product is handmade makes it more valuable. Shibori is a labor-intensive process requiring acute attention to detail and patience.

Each pattern has a specific template that impresses out on the fabric with precision and then stitched with a needle and thread by hand. This stitching process can take many days, up to one week to complete and is the most labor-intensive part of the process. The threads are then pulled tight, and only the exposed fabric will absorb the dyes. The material is then submerged in dye vats many times, sometimes up to 20 times to achieve the desired depth of color or can use a pipette for dyeing. After the threads are carefully cut and the pattern is revealed.
