I was reading a small book by James Allen. He is a brilliant British author that reveals how our thoughts determine reality. Whether or not we are conscious of it. He said, “the body is the servant of the mind.”
Most of us are aware of the importance of our thoughts over our body and health, even our circumstances.
Stories about people that somatize sickness are well known, but usually, we forgot in our daily life that the body obeys our mind.
“Sickly thoughts will express themselves through a sickly body. Thoughts of fear have been known to kill a man as speedily as a bullet… The people who live in fear of disease are the people who get it.”
“The body is a delicate and plastic instrument which respond readily to the thoughts by which is impress, and habits of thought will produce their own effects, good or bad, upon it.”
“Think well of all, to be cheerful with all, to patiently learn to find the good in all – such unselfish thoughts are the very portals of heaven…”
What a piece of awesome advice from James Allen to keep our health, and also a peaceful and happy life.
Our thoughts…, who is in control of them? Are they running wild, or are we paying attention to them? Our physical, mental and emotional health depends on the answer to this question.
